About

We are the Department of Music and Theatre at the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith, and we need your help! Music stands serve a vital role in our department and are used by every student and faculty member for rehearsals, performances, and in classrooms for learning. The funds raised will go to purchasing new music stands to meet the needs of all and conduct more than 80 performances a year.

Dr. Alexandra Zacharella, director of bands, explained, “New music stands will enable our students to incorporate their use of technology, like stands that are sturdy enough to hold iPads and stands that are collapsible to be more mobile and versatile”.
