UAFS Army ROTC

The Army ROTC program at the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith (UAFS) offers students the chance to develop leadership skills and prepare for a commission as an officer in the U.S. Army, Army Reserve, or National Guard. Through a blend of classroom instruction, field training exercises, and physical fitness, ROTC cadets gain experience in military tactics, management, and decision-making. The program emphasizes leadership and personal development, offering scholarships and financial aid opportunities.

Building on last year’s success, we aim to raise $5,000 during this year’s UAFS Day of Giving to continue our new tradition of sending cadets to the AUSA conference in Washington, D.C. This experience is instrumental in shaping the future leaders of our Army, offering them exposure to military professionals, insights into defense policy, and connections that will support their growth as officers. With your support, we can provide more cadets with this opportunity and strengthen our program's impact. Funds will go directly toward covering travel and lodging expenses for our cadets.

While the AUSA conference is free, we want our cadets to fully experience our Nation's Capital without worrying about out-of-pocket expenses. From visiting national landmarks to engaging with military history sites, our goal is to create a rich, educational experience that complements their leadership training and networking. Every dollar contributed helps us offer this opportunity to more cadets, building their confidence and broadening their prospectives as future Army officers.
