By giving to UAFS cheer, you’ll help our 5-time national championship-winning student-athletes compete at the NCA College National Championship in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Your gift will help cover meals, hotels, and transportation, along with custom competition music and choreography from nationally acclaimed professionals, and help our Lions claim another national title.

Beginning in the summer, these student athletes practice three times a week and attend strength training three times a week. That work continues for 10 months, leading up to the national competition in the spring.

“For most of our athletes it is a lifelong dream to set foot on the bandshell at NCA College Nationals as a college athlete,” said Branden Gregory, head cheer coach. “The time and dedication it takes to compete at this level prepares our athletes as they move into the workforce. While they create lifetime connections with their teammates they also learn to keep a high standard in all areas of their life.”

Competing nationally also introduces the UAFS name to prospective students from across the country, helping the program – and the university – grow for years to come.

“My hope is that our student athletes will remember what it takes to be a part of something bigger than one individual,” Gregory said. “They will know what teamwork requires and take it to the next steps in their life.”
