The First-Generation Student Support project serves a student population that represents more than half of the UAFS community, making their success vital to the university’s future.
Led by a committee of faculty and staff, the project works to remove barriers, build connections, and create opportunities for first-generation students to succeed. Through mentorship, programming, and targeted resources, the project is already making a measurable impact, but growing demand continues to highlight the need for expanded support.
Funds raised through this project will strengthen and extend these efforts by supporting structured resources, student programming, and scholarships that promote persistence and long-term success for first-generation students.
