The School of Education Community Partnerships and Student Support project prepares future educators to enter the classroom Day-One Ready. Through partnerships with community schools that address the academic, social-emotional and family needs of P-12 learners, the project gives teacher candidates meaningful experience in high-need, community-engaged environments.
Funds raised will support networking events with community partners, resources for students entering the workforce and other needs that strengthen regional educator pipelines and reduce barriers to teacher certification.
As one recent graduate shared, “The School of Education’s embedded opportunities in schools gave me real-world experience and the confidence to walk into my first classroom fully prepared.”
Support for this project advances the School of Education’s mission and helps future teachers begin their careers prepared to succeed from their first day in the classroom.
